Many Years Have Passed

From Robert Watts’ humble beginnings as a letter typing service, we have continued to grow and serve a diverse business population.

Watch the timeline below to see some of our history, along with other notable events of the past 100 years.

Printing, mailing and fulfillment services are our business.

It all began so many years ago.  And it’s almost inconceivable what the times were like then.  Robert Watt started serving a small business community by providing a service that was on the forefront of technology for its time – typing letters.  Just imagine.  And in 1922, Watt Letter Service was born.

Technology of the era continued to advance with efficiencies in print developed as duplicate copies of letters and documents were in demand.  The first office printing machine – The Gestetner Cyclostyle duplicating machine – was invented and manufactured by David Gestetner.  He claimed in 1922, once he had released several models, that if a Gestetner Durotype stencil was used together with his Cyclostyle machine, then 10,000 copies could be made from the one Durotype stencil, an amazing claim for office technology of that era.

From those early beginnings, Watt Letter Service continually and slowly adapted to the advancing needs of business.  Passing on through generations, we remain in the current family for over the past 50 years.  Today as WATT Solutions, we are very proud to have reached a rare milestone in any business – 100 years of providing our expanded services to the business community.

Thank you to all that have helped us succeed along this journey!
